For God so loved you that He gave His Son, so that if you believe in His Son you will not perish but have everlasting life. If you believe in Him you are not condemned; but if you don’t believe you are condemned already… And this is why: the light has come into the world, but you love darkness rather than light, because your deeds are evil and you are afraid to be exposed. John 3:16-20 paraphrased Disagree? Do you…
“In The Words (of Satan)” Lyrics by The Arrows | from the album The Arrows 2007 Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce to you, one, the only, the father of lies! “I’ve been here since the beginning know exactly how you work I know all of your cravings know what makes you go berserk Been lying from the start just to make you play a part in my infinite rebellion against the Father God I hate everything he is and…
I have found many revelations in this beautiful christian book, of the width and the depth in witch God takes the time to guide our hand and our feet a step at a time. In the fears, and the tears, in the joys and the sorrows, using the time to teach us through our success and failures. So I can only say that if you were to open your heart you too would be able to hear, taste and see that the Lord is good.
We are called to walk in the unity that was forged on the cross. If you are like me, you can probably think of relationships that are in discord. How can we pursue unity in the Church? This question confronts our own hearts seeking to build our own houses. This is that horrid sin nature. If judgment begins at the household of God (1 Peter 4:17), then we should seek to be a household united for the glory of the Father.
Our sister church Calvary Chapel Twickenham has recently moved venue to Spelthorn School and moved their service time to 10:30 am.
The Acts of the Apostles should perhaps be known as The Acts of Jesus and the Holy Spirit through the early church. Jesus enabled and sent them. The Holy Spirit empowered and guided them. They clearly knew their calling and yet they first “devoted themselves to prayer”. Let us pray for the people that God has in Leatherhead (Acts 18:10). Let us ask God to show us where He is already at work and how we can get involved. Let us pray.
June 4th 2017 we celebrated the 10th Anniversary of Disciples Church and on that same day Matt Kottman, our senior pastor for those 10 years, handed the pastoral baton to Vladimir Martinez. Have a look at the photo album here: Photo Album A day of mixed emotions 🙁 🙂 Last message You can listen to Matt’s last sermon here: 10th Anniversary and Handover Share this…FacebookTwitteremail
Have you read through the entire Bible? If so, is Bible reading a habit of yours? I have read the whole Bible every year for about 22 years. It has enriched my soul and has rooted me in truth in times of blessing as well as times of trial. January is a great time to consider this great discipline of the Christian life. But how should we read through the Bible? Do you just start in Genesis and work your way to Revelation?
Matt Kottman’s testimony of how his life was changed in 1 year. From finding his father, which he had never met, to gaining two new brothers, two new sisters-in-law, four nieces and nephews, and another mom. Thanksgiving had a very special meaning this year.
