SingleMinded Conference

SingleMinded Conference 2018

This annual conference is aimed at adults who are single – basically anyone not married and over 18 years old. The conference, now in its 8th year, will take place at Deal Christian Fellowship on Saturday 6th October.

This isn’t Christian speed dating

It is simply a great day of Bible teaching on relevant topics, with plenty of time for fellowship and good food!

Adults from all backgrounds and ages have attended in previous years; those who have never dated, and those who are currently dating. Those that have lost loved ones through bereavement, and those who have divorced. Those that want to marry, and those that want to remain single. There’s no typical SingleMinded attendee.

There will be guest speakers and three main studies, two split group discussions (guys/girls) plus times of praise, fellowship and food.

The day will run from 11am to 5:30pm and there will be an optional social meal on the Friday evening (5th October). This meal is for anyone that is local or staying in the area (it’s a great way to meet new friends or catch-up with existing friends).

There is a registration cost of just £10 that includes a full lunchtime buffet and plenty of tea, coffee and cake throughout the day.

The History of Singleminded

In June 2011 Matt & Dianna Kottman (who planted Disciples Church) organised a conference for Single Christians at the High Leigh Conference Centre, after prayer and in response to many conversations with those who were single and had questions or struggles about how to live as a single Christian.

The conference was welcomed by many in Calvary Chapel churches in the UK, as was the teaching that was received during the weekend. The following year the conference relocated to Deal Christian Fellowship (DCF) in Kent as there was no cost for hiring a venue, and there it has continued.
