Ready for our 4th year through the Bible?
In 2024, we went through the Bible chronologically, following a fantastic reading plan called The Bible Recap. Every day, we had a combination of reading or listening to the Bible (on the Youversion App), 1 short recap video from The Bible Recap, and, at the beginning of every book, a short video from The Bible Project summarising the book.
Our group included people of several nationalities and languages, all ages, and even non-Christians! It was such a blessing that most of us chose to go through it all over again!
We begin on Monday the 13th of January. (but you can join at any time!)

As always, the Road to Emmaus Bible Reading Plan is inspired by Luke 24:13-49, where Jesus “beginning with Moses and with all the Prophets, explained to them the things written about Himself in all the Scriptures”.
As we read God’s word together, prayerfully, relying on the Holy Spirit, we hope that we may be able to say to one another what the disciples on the road to Emmaus said: “Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he opened to us the Scriptures?”
The resources shared on this page are intended to help us understand what we read. Make as much, or as little, use of these resources as you wish, or can. Please do not feel overwhelmed by the amount, just select what you want.
Don’t let anything stop you from reading God’s word daily, our daily bread, and be courageous, invite your family, friends, work colleagues, Christian or not, and watch what God will do through His word and Spirit!
Before we start the reading plan on the 13th of January we suggest you read Luke 24:13-49 to capture the vision of this reading plan!
Also, you might want to watch some of the videos from the lists below or, if you prefer reading, here are some suggestions to accompany your Bible reading. Doing this will help us get more out of our reading.

In 2025 we will be following 1 of 2 reading plans:
1 Year through the whole Bible – This plan was created by “The Bible Recap“. It involves reading 3 to 5 Bible chapters chronologically and watching 1 recap video per day. Watch this short video above that explains how it all works.
New Testament in a Year – This plan was created by “Through the Word“. This plan allows you to go slowly through the New Testament (less than 1 chapter per day). Every chapter includes a short audio devotional from different teachers, explaining the text and bringing the stories to life.
We begin on Monday the 13th of January. (but you can join at any time!)

Discussion Group
Finally, we will have a WhatsApp group to keep everyone encouraged and engaged and, once a month, the opportunity to meet in person or virtually. (please ask to join)
In the meetings, we will share the notes we made while reading, and especially the references to Jesus. We will also bring up questions about what we read and find the answers in the scriptures together.

Hi, I really enjoyed last year’s chronological plan with Tara and the what’s app group was very helpful as well. I learned tons of things. I lost some days’ reading but I didn’t quit reading. Thank you so much for your support throughout this year and I can’t wait for learning more things about God with you in 2025. I pray that we will all feel closer to God through His Word daily

Both the Bible in a Year and the New Testament in a year are excellent resources and help with self discipline n reading the Bible every day. Even if you slip back a few days it is worth getting back to it and setting aside time to do some ‘binge-reading’ and how amazing is our God to use those slippages to give a word for the very day it is needed. Thoroughly recommend doing both.

I tried to do both plans this year . I was more committed to the first one (whole Bible in a year) and when I had spare time or I felt that I missed the New Testament I was doing the second one as well (New Testament in a year) and it was really great! I learned a ton of new things from this pastor and I highly recommend both plans.
God loves spending time with us and wants us to spend time with Him! He wants us to know Him better!
Please don’t get discouraged if you run behind some times . Just go to the actual date and go on from there if you don’t have the time to catch up.
But please DON’T GIVE UP the reading!
