Ready for our 5th year through the Bible?
In 2025, we had 2 reading plans to choose from: one was through the whole Bible chronologically, the other was through the New Testament only.
Our group included people of several nationalities and languages, all ages, and even non-Christians! It was such a blessing that most of us chose to go through it again this year!

2026 Bible Reading Plan
We will begin our 2026 Bible Reading Plan on Monday, the 19th of January.
This year we will also be running 2 reading plans. One, of the whole Bible, recommended for those who have never done it before. The other one will only include 10 books, the first 5 books of the Old Testament (Torah) and the first 5 books of the New Testament (Gospels and Acts). This slow-paced reading plan will give us an opportunity for more time to study, reflect and pray.

Jesus in the Old Testament is not an added later idea, its the original purpose, the original design!

As always, the Road to Emmaus Bible Reading Plan is inspired by Luke 24:13-49, where Jesus “beginning with Moses and with all the Prophets, explained to them the things written about Himself in all the Scriptures”.
As we read God’s word together, prayerfully, relying on the Holy Spirit, we hope that we may be able to say to one another what the disciples on the road to Emmaus said: “Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he opened to us the Scriptures?”
The resources shared on this page are intended to help us understand what we read. Make as much, or as little, use of these resources as you wish, or can. Please do not feel overwhelmed by the amount, just select what you want.
Don’t let anything stop you from reading God’s word daily, our daily bread, and be courageous, invite your family, friends, work colleagues, Christian or not, and watch what God will do through His word and Spirit!
Before we start the reading plan on the 19th of January we suggest you read Luke 24:13-49 to capture the vision of this reading plan!
Also, you might want to watch some of the videos from the lists below or, if you prefer reading, here are some suggestions to accompany your Bible reading. Doing this will help us get more out of our reading.

1 Year through the whole Bible – This plan was created by “The Bible Recap“. It involves reading 3 to 5 Bible chapters chronologically and watching 1 recap video per day. Watch this short video above that explains how it all works.
Join the Reading plan via App OR Print out the plan
10 Books in 1 Year (Torah, Gospels and Acts) – This plan allows you to slow down and invest more time in studying, reflecting and praying. We will read 1 chapter a day, pause for reflection and prayer on Sundays, and alternate between OT and NT, a book at a time (Genesis, Matthew, Exodus, Mark, Leviticus, Luke, Numbers, John, Deuteronomy, Acts).
