This is What it Means to be a Christian in Syria

We had the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church last Sunday.  Christians are suffering all over the world for their faith. In our service we showed the video below which was put together by Voice of the Martyrs and Release International. Pray for our brothers and sisters who are being killed for their faith.

What can we do?

We can pray for our brothers. Commit to praying for those who are being persecuted for their faith. Many organisations such as those mentioned above or Open Doors and Barnabas Fund will send prayer calendars to you.
We can prepare for persecution. Consider what freedoms you can give up for the sake of the Gospel. Think through what you would do if your freedom was taken from you. Root your identity in Christ and not in our political/social freedom.
We can support our brethren (remembering those in prison). Organisations like Release International, Open Doors, and Barnabas Fund can channel resources to places where they are needed. Speak to others about what is going on.
We can stay up to date with what is happening. Sign up for updates from these groups to stay abreast of what is happening.

We appreciate your engagement
