Camp rules
As a church, we want this camp to be a joyful, Spirit-led week filled with great fellowship, encouraging teaching, meaningful worship and plenty of good times together. To help us live well alongside one another, we ask everyone to cooperate with the following camp guidelines.
Some of these rules come from Hampshire Christian Trust, who manage the campsite, and others have been put in place by our camp planning team to help the week run smoothly and ensure everyone can enjoy their time without disruption.
Please read these carefully before finalising your booking form, as submitting your booking confirms that you agree to the guidelines below.
Noise
Please keep noise to a minimum after 11 PM. Music, shouting, loud conversations or anything that may disturb others, should finish by 11 PM.
Children
Children remain the responsibility of their parents or carers at all times, except when they are attending organised youth, Sunday school, or organised activities, where they will be supervised by our team. Outside of those scheduled sessions, parents/carers are fully responsible for their children.
Rubbish
Everyone is responsible for their own rubbish and cleaning. Please tidy up after yourselves in all camp areas, including the spaces around your tents or caravans. We will direct you to the large industrial bins on site. This also includes leaving toilets and kitchen areas clean after use.
Kitchen
Children are not allowed in the kitchen area at any time, as it contains safety hazards. We ask all parents and families to help us enforce this rule. Youth may only enter if specifically permitted by a camp leader. The kitchen will not be accessible for food prep or cooking during Service times and after 10pm each night. Adults may still access the fridges after 10pm, if necessary.
Smoking, Alcohol and Language
As we gather to represent Jesus together, smoking and swearing are not permitted on site. Alcohol is allowed, but drunkenness is not. If you choose to drink, please do so responsibly. Any abusive or aggressive behaviour towards anyone on site will result in immediate removal from the camp and a lifetime ban from future DC camps.
Parking
All cars must be parked in the designated car park or overflow parking area. Vehicles are not permitted on the grass, including those belonging to caravan users, tent campers or motorhome guests.
Pets
Dogs (pets) must be always kept on a lead and are not allowed inside the Barns. While pets are permitted, Hampshire Christian Trust has asked us to avoid bringing them where possible. Please only bring pets if there is no alternative care available. Dogs may be let off lead in the surrounding open fields, but not within the campsite perimeter.
Campfire
Children aged 16 and under must not be left unsupervised around the campfire. Parents/carers must always be present and responsibility for children’s safety at the fire pit rests with them.
Wristbands
Our wristband system helps us identify who should be on site. Please always wear your wristband. If you lose it, speak to a leader to receive a replacement. Wristbands for under-16s include space for an emergency contact number — please ensure this is completed. If you notice anyone without a wristband, notify a camp leader straight away.
